The DTS is a school designed for those who want to see their lives transformed by the power of God, and their heart moved to take on the challenge of being a person that will bring a difference not only to their suburb but also their city, country, and to the ends of the world.

The Missionary Discipleship Training School – DTS-M
This school is a requirement internationally for YWAM in general and can be found taught in more than 160 countries and almost as many different languages.
Although the DTS-M has a basic structure (all schools have the same list of subjects to be taught) each school has its own cultural flavour. Some schools can be up to 9 months or one year long, although most are around 5 months duration which is the minimum that a school can be.
In a 5 month school, 3 months are spent in the classroom receiving teachings and training in a communal environment, and 2 months are spent in the practical phase where you get to apply all that you have learned. During this time of outreach you are in the “missionary field” away from the training center with one or more leaders in your team and will most likely be in a different culture or country.

Learning through the experiences of others
During the school we live in community, which is to say that we live together as a group of diverse people that are often very different to you, and share virtually all of the 24 hours of the day with them.
At times it can be a bit of a challenge, but it is part of the process of discipleship and most grow to love it after a short time.
Our Schools here in the Patagonia
Here in the Patagonia of Argentina, our DTS-M is a school that lasts 5 months and we have three schools per year, starting on the following dates:
- 8 March
- 14 June
- 20 September
A deep desire to know God more
The requirements for the school are:
- have a heart that is ready to be moulded by God
- have a deep desire to know God even more
- have a heart for missions, evangelism, or other cultures
- have the approval of your pastor
- be at least 18 years old (there is no top limit on age)
Costs of the School
Before we always asked people to communicate directly with our office, stating their nationality in the email, but now we have a form that can tell you the cost directly. However, please take the time to read the entire page before contacting us with further questions.
Outreaches
The outreach destinations for the groups from our school in recent years have been Peru, Colombia, Chile, and different parts of Argentina – but most times it depends upon what God says to each team during the theoretical part.
