“Women of Faith” in Puerto Madryn started on the 4th of July 2004. It was the first meeting of all female pastors and pastors’ wives in the city. On the 13th of September, we organized a Beneficiary Event for the local public hospital, and in March 2005 we held a conference for pastors invited from Buenos Aires.
Our purpose is to unite Christian women to:
- Bring change for the development of a saved nation.
- To be examples of integrity to bring challenge to society and the authorities.
- To bring practical help in different areas of society.
- Contribute to the discipleship of the nation through the declaration of values, principals and Biblical truths.
The Education minister openned the doors of the hospital so we could pray and intercede for “Juan” (not his real name), a 4 year old child who had been in a coma state for more than 5 months after an accident.

Providing both spiritual and physical help
Furthermore, we were given a list of colleges where the most needy children in the area were attending and we gathered food stuffs, clothes, games, furniture, useful items, and more to give to them and their families. Of course we also offered them spiritual help at the same time.

The group, formed by women from different churches around the city, meets twice each month to pray and organize events and activities.
National History
“Women of Faith” started in 2002 when a group of retired people went to the National Congress to protest that thy raise their salary to 450 pesos per month. Then Roxana Liste, in seeing this, asked for the microphone and said: “we are in a crisis but God is able to intervene for us” and prayed for them. The retired people were very happy and thankful that she had done this for them.

She felt that the women of the church need to be in these sorts of places, leaving the four walls of the church to be able to cover the needs of the city. Later on she also helped the famous Women of Plaza de Mayo.
