As we are located in Argentina, one of the first things that you will need to do is find your way to our country. Now, there are many ways to get here, but finding a ticket by plane, bus or boat is a responsibility that remains yours.
If you would like some help with this step, the best thing to do is go to a travel agent. They can give you advice for your tickets and the flights or best way to get here and also in areas such as travelling for the first time and what you need to do to prepare yourself during this time.
Finding a way to get to Argentina
Getting to Puerto (Port) Madryn
You have your ticket in your hand and know that you are going to arrive in Buenos Aires (or Santiago, Chile). This is great. Your next step now is to find a ticket directly to Puerto Madryn. This could be by bus or flying. If you are planning on travelling down here in a bus, you do not need to worry about buying a ticket until you arrive here. However, plan to get here at least one day earlier as the travel time on the bus is 20hrs from Buenos Aires and 32hrs from Chile.
A good thing to keep in mind is to advise us of the details of your journey before you leave Buenos Aires. Only then can we be here waiting for you when you arrive.
If you are going to travel by plane, be sure to give us your flight number and airline company, the airport where you are arriving, and the arrival time. If you are travelling by bus then give us the details of the bus company and the time that you leave from Buenos Aires plus the bus terminal you are leaving from if it is not Retiro station.
From Buenos Aires or Santiago (Chile) to Port Madryn
When you have arrived here in the patagonia, in either Trelew of Puerto Madryn cities, if you have advised us of your arrival here we will be there waiting for you. However there are always those who are brave or adventurous amongst us, who would love to find their way here alone. So for those who would like this we have also included information about how to get right to our front gate.
Even though it is very unlikely that you would need this information, it is wise to keep a copy on hand for those rare moments when we cannot be there to meet you due to unforeseen circumstances. The most likely outcome is that we will be there waiting for you, but just in case keep a copy of this so that you are prepared for every possibility.
